Vision

The Corella project aims to promote the art of classical ballet in Spain for dancers from all over the world, developing a comprehensive high performance ballet training for new generations. The academy is directed by Carmen Corella, former soloist of the American Ballet Theatre and director of Corella Ballet, and Dayron Vera, former principal dancer of Ballet de Cuba and Corella Ballet.

The academy offers comprehensive training from middle to high school levels, with a structured curriculum that includes disciplines that are essential in today's training, such as the method GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®.

In addition, it has a teaching team made up of permanent and guest professors who complement the personalized follow-up for its students.

The vision of the academy is to project a central point of reference for dance and culture, providing a safe space where a continuous exchange of technique and knowledge is generated, and where the talents of dancers from all over the world converge under an artisanal development.

Its vision is to be a center of excellence in the training of classical ballet dancers, fostering national and international talent and contributing to the cultural and artistic development of Spain.

Housing

Corella Barcelona is located in an idyllic setting in the middle of nature at the foot of the Montseny Natural Park.

Students have comfortable and quiet study areas in Housing exclusively for that use with wifi connection. We collaborate with the international schools ISCAT (British System) and AESA (American System).

Our menus are based on a Mediterranean diet rich in vegetables, whole grains, legumes, meat, fish, olive oil and each dish is prepared daily in Housing.

It is crucial to create a safe space where they can express themselves without fear of judgment. Actively listening and validating their emotions allows them to feel understood and supported, which is crucial for their emotional development.

Physical preparation for a dancer is essential to improve performance, avoid injury and sustain a long-lasting career. Dance requires strength, flexibility, endurance and control, so balanced training that includes several aspects is crucial.

It is a great privilege to have uniforms with our own designs and tailoring, and professional artistic costumes which allows a unique creative freedom, accurately reflecting our vision.

"And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."
