Rodriguez
With an outstanding career in dance, Kiki Rodriguez has shined since her training at institutions such as the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and Pineapple in London. Her career has taken her to national and international stages, combining her artistic talent with teaching as a director and creator of inclusive initiatives such as ProDansa and Kdansa, which promote dance as an art and educational tool.
Kiki Rodriguez's inspiring career in the world of dance
She trained in classical dance at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, in modern-jazz dance with Anne-Marie Porras in Montpellier, at Pineapple in London, and with Máximo Hita in Barcelona. At the age of 14, she began her professional experience as a dancer and acrobatic partner.
In her long career, she became an essential and charismatic dancer for countless national productions, such as the Parallel, Music Hall Belle Époquethe television program Star Shower and musicals such as Guys and Dolls at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, in addition to L'Esplèndida Vergèndida Vergonya del Fetby Carlos Santos.
In 2004, she began her pedagogical experience as a director and elite dance teacher, teaching dance classes to students of different ages and workshops in national and international contexts.
She is the creator of ProDansa, founded in 2012, an association dedicated to the dissemination and creation of dance spaces for vulnerable groups. In 2022, she co-founded Kdansa, a cooperative focused on training and artistic creation in the field of dance. She also collaborates in the design and development of educational programs for the training of dancers and choreographers, contributing to the creation and production of dance works. She is the director of Kdansa, dance academy in Parets, Barcelona.
Housing
Corella Barcelona is located in an idyllic setting in the middle of nature at the foot of the Montseny Natural Park.
Students have comfortable and quiet study areas in Housing exclusively for that use with wifi connection. We collaborate with the international schools ISCAT (British System) and AESA (American System).
Our menus are based on a Mediterranean diet rich in vegetables, whole grains, legumes, meat, fish, olive oil and each dish is prepared daily in Housing.
It is crucial to create a safe space where they can express themselves without fear of judgment. Actively listening and validating their emotions allows them to feel understood and supported, which is crucial for their emotional development.
Physical preparation for a dancer is essential to improve performance, avoid injury and sustain a long-lasting career. Dance requires strength, flexibility, endurance and control, so balanced training that includes several aspects is crucial.
It is a great privilege to have uniforms with our own designs and tailoring, and professional artistic costumes which allows a unique creative freedom, accurately reflecting our vision.
