
Russell Ducker
Dancer and choreographer trained at the Royal Ballet School, with international experience in prestigious companies. He is currently a member of the Philadelphia Ballet and also develops his choreographic facet.
Graduated in 2007 from the Royal Ballet Upper School. Since then, he has developed a solid career as a performer and choreographer in important international dance companies.
She began her training at the Royal Ballet Lower School, White Lodge and graduated from the Royal Ballet Upper School, Covent Garden in 2007. In 2006, she won the Pamela Self for Dance Award as well as a scholarship from the NFL Foundation. As a student, Russell received awards at the Dame Ninette de Valois, Sir Kenneth Macmillan and Ursula Moreton Chooroography Competitions and was chosen in 2006 to collaborate with musicians at the Royal College of Music. While at school, Russell performed with the Royal Ballet in their productions of Swan Lake, Onegin, the Nutcracker and Anthony Dowell's Celebration Gala.
Prior to Philadelphia Ballet, Russell performed with Angel Corella's Ballet Barcelona, where he performed several solo and principal roles and accompanied them on Tours to Houston, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New Orleans, New York, Santa Barbara, Seattle, Buenos, Portugal and France, France and France. Russell joined Philadelphia Ballet as a member of the Corps de Ballet for the 2014/2015 season before being promoted to Demi soloist in 2019.
He has choreographed three times for the company; This Division (2018, music by Glenn Branca), Suspended in Time (2021, music by Electric Light Orchestra) and The Dance Card (2021, music by Grammy winner Jennifer Higdon).
In 2017, she choreographed for the production of Capriccio (directed by Chas Rader-Shieber) in association with Opera Philadelphia. Philadelphia Ballet II ballets include; Where the Sidewalk Ends (2016, inspired by the poems of Shel Silverstein) and Little Voices (2017).
Housing
Corella Barcelona is located in an idyllic setting in the middle of nature at the foot of the Montseny Natural Park.
Students have comfortable and quiet study areas in Housing exclusively for that use with wifi connection. We collaborate with the international schools ISCAT (British System) and AESA (American System).
Our menus are based on a Mediterranean diet rich in vegetables, whole grains, legumes, meat, fish, olive oil and each dish is prepared daily in Housing.
It is crucial to create a safe space where they can express themselves without fear of judgment. Actively listening and validating their emotions allows them to feel understood and supported, which is crucial for their emotional development.
Physical preparation for a dancer is essential to improve performance, avoid injury and sustain a long-lasting career. Dance requires strength, flexibility, endurance and control, so balanced training that includes several aspects is crucial.
It is a great privilege to have uniforms with our own designs and tailoring, and professional artistic costumes which allows a unique creative freedom, accurately reflecting our vision.
