Workshop GYROKINESIS® Breathing with Master Trainer Miriam Barbosa
Building on Juliu's early explorations of human potential, it includes simple and effective sequences suitable for all students.
As the journey progresses, emphasis is placed on increasing strength and vitality. This course is considered a refresher of the entire course GYROKINESIS® Foundation Level 2.

Meet Miriam Barbosa
She is a Master Trainer Specialized in GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®She has developed a unique pedagogical vocabulary for dancers focusing on body conditioning, injury prevention, skeletal alignment, balance and overall strength and flexibility under the guidance of Juliu Horvath through her own rehabilitation from a severe back injury.
She founded Miriam Barbosa Dance and is a former member of Martha Graham Dance Company.
She is currently a faculty member at the Martha Graham and Alvin Ailey Schools in New York. She taught dance at the University of South Carolina Dance Program for several years and taught, choreographed and performed internationally.
Ms. Barbosa holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Fine Arts in Sao Paulo/Brazil, where she also received her training in classical ballet and recently joined NYIT's Masters Program in Architecture, Health and Design.
